Payment

A deposit is required to confirm your reservation and will be charged to the card provided…
2 Nights ~ $100
3 - 5 Nights ~ $200
Week ~ $500

The full balance owing for your reservation is due no less than 7 days prior to arrival.

If payment by credit card is preferred ~ 3% processing fee will be applied.


You will be notified of your cottage name & number.

Your keys will be left in the cottage for you on arrival.

Additional guests are $30 per night + tax

Total guest numbers per cottage are limited for your safety & comfort as well as our insurance requirements.

Cancellation

Daily & Weekend Bookings

60 days or more in advance of check in ~ 50% of your deposit will be refunded.

Less than 60 days in advance of check in ~ the full deposit will be forfeited.

2 weeks or less in advance of check in ~ 50% of the balance is due.

7 days prior to the check in date ~ 100 % of the balance is due.

Weekly & Long Weekend Bookings

60 days or more in advance of check in ~ 50% of your deposit will be refunded.

Less than 60 days in advance of check in ~ the full deposit will be forfeited.

Less than 30 days in advance of check in ~ 100% of the balance is due.


Pets

The cottages & grounds are pet friendly excluding the Penthouse, Grandview C & Grandview D.


There is a one dog maximum per cottage & other pets are not permitted.


Dogs must be on leash when exploring the grounds and the beach & not left unattended inside the cottage unless crated.
They must be picked up after & the baggies discarded in the dumpster on the south driveway.  


The pet fee is $25 per night or $150 per week.


Smoking

All cottages are non-smoking.

Anyone smoking inside a cottage or within 10m of any building will incur a $500 fine.

Please do not use your campfire pit as a disposal for you cigarette butts ~ use the garbage bins provided.


Cleaning & Damage

Please note, in case of damage during your stay we reserve the right to charge the credit card on file for repair or replacement.


Any cottage requiring excessive cleaning will incur a $200 cleaning fee at our discretion.


Noise

Our quiet hours are

9pm - 8am

Please be respectful of your neighbours & help us keep Deer Park a peaceful space for all.


FAQ


What are the check-in & check-out times?

Check-in time is 3pm

Check-out time is 10am


Balances are due one week prior to arrival via e-transfer.

Your keys will be on the table in your cottage with directions sent to your email.

An early check in of Noon or late check out 1pm is possible for an additional $50 per change.

This is subject to availability and is not offered for cottages turning over the same day or during our busy season.

What should I bring with me?

What we provide & what you should bring…

Bedroom & Bathroom

We provide pillows, quilts, toilet paper, bathmats & hand soap.

Please bring sheets, pillowcases, towels (beach & bath) ~ as well as extra pillows as needed.  

Items we recommend bringing: shampoo & conditioner, hair dryer, toiletries, extra blankets if needed.

For the continued smooth operation of our plumbing ~ please do not flush anything other than toilet paper.

Kitchen & Outdoors

We provide full kitchens including fridge/freezer, oven/stove, kettle, drip coffee maker (including coffee filters), pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, mugs, lighter, dishcloth, dishtowel, dish soap & microwave.

We also provide a LOMI Composting Unit & one set of garbage bags for all of the garbage bins in the unit.

We provide propane for the BBQ & wood for campfires is available for purchase at the front office for $10/bag. Cash only.

Bags of ice are also available for purchase at the front office for $2.50/bag. Cash only.

Items we recommend bringing: coffee, tea, salt & pepper, garbage bags, paper towel, newspaper for firestarter, beach shoes, flashlights, life jackets, matches, games, sunscreen…


Is parking available at the cottages?

Parking is available for up to 2 vehicles per cottage except for Penthouse, Grandview D & C which have one parking spot only.

Boats, trailers, RVs are not permitted.


Tell me more about your private beach?

Deer Park Lodge has a private beach accessible via a staircase that is a short walk from your cottage.

Our staircase has shallow steps & built-in benches for rests along the way where needed.
Our beach is not accessible by car but for guests needing drive-up access we recommend Bayfield Main Beach ~ less than a 2-minute drive from Deer Park.

Please note that our grounds & beach are available only to registered Deer Park guests with wristbands ~ no day guests allowed.


At the beach…

Beach loungers & umbrellas are provided for all Deer Park guests as follows…

1 Bedroom Units ~ 2 Loungers

2 Bedroom Units ~ 4 Loungers

3 Bedroom Units ~ 6 Loungers

Masking tape & markers are provided in your cottage for you to mark which loungers you would like to use for the duration of your stay. We ask that you please make sure to close your umbrellas when you are not at the beach ~ this helps to ensure they last throughout the season and reduces our environmental footprint as we try to be as sustainable as possible. Thank you.

Paddleboard Rentals ~ $15/hour

Tell me more about your pool?

Deer Park Lodge has a private outdoor solar-heated pool accessible at the front of the property by the main entrance.

Please note that our grounds & pool are available only to registered Deer Park guests with wristbands ~ no day guests allowed.

At the pool…

Each day a signup sheet goes up outside the pool at 8am.

The pool is open from 8.45am - 8pm.

You can book your own private 45 minute pool session by writing your cottage name beside an available time.

If there are no signups for a particular time, you are welcome to use the pool but please respect other patrons & their chosen times.

For large groups we ask that you book no more than two consecutive timeslots between noon and 4pm, to allow others access to the pool during the heat of the day.


Do you have a minimum length of stay?

We are open from Easter Weekend (April) to Christmas in Bayfield Weekend (mid-November)

Do you offer monthly rentals?

Longer-term stays may be available outside peak summer season.

Send an email to info@deerparklodge.ca with the dates, number of guests and we'll be happy to discuss availability and pricing.


Is there internet access?

There is wifi available in every cottage.

You can connect to the wifi by finding the network that shares the name of the cottage you are staying in. There is no password necessary.

If you are working remotely please arrange sufficient cell phone data to hotspot because although our wifi is excellent, power outages are always a possibility.


Do you offer camping?

We don’t offer camping or RV parking but there are some great options nearby!

We recommend The Old Homestead. Our closest Provincial Parks are The Pinery and Point Farms.


Can I set off fireworks?

We are pet friendly & lovers of wildlife.

Sorry no fireworks at Deer Park.


Can I fly my drone?

We do not allow drones to be flown at Deer Park.

Please respect the quiet & privacy of your fellow guests by adhering to this policy.


Can I have a campfire?

Each cottage is equipped with its own unique campfire pit - except for the Penthouse, Grandview C & Grandview D.

There are two communal campfire pits ~ one on the beach and one in our wooded area for your enjoyment!

For your safety & that of our environment ~ Please do not build any additional campfires.

Please also do not use your campfire pits as a disposal for your cigarette butts or garbage. Use the garbage bins provided.


What do I need to know about wildlife?

One of the best parts of Deer Park is that you get to immerse yourself in nature while you're here.

We ask that you respect the wildlife that also calls our resort home. This means please do not capture or touch any animals, even our resident frogs at the pond ~ who enjoy the peace there as much as we do.
